FAQ

Is there free parking at the office?

Yes, there is free parking behind the office.  We share a parking lot with Back To Health next door.  Please note there is a separate one-way entrance between our buildings, and the one-way exit is west of Back To Health.

Is the office accessible?

We have one accessible parking spot infront of the office.  There is a lift out front for strollers or wheelchairs.  There is an accessible washroom for patients with a changing table.

How do I book an appointment?

Please call the office during business hours to book an appointment by phone.  You can also book online for certain types of appointments.  These include well baby visits, medication follow up visits, or flu shots/vaccine only visits.

When are the phones answered?

Phones are answered between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Please only leave a message during business hours.  Messages left outside of these times will not be returned.

Does Dr. Danby do phone visits?

Due to government changes, as of September 1, 2022, Dr. Danby will no longer be offering phone appointments, except in very special circumstances. 

Please ensure you have your next in-person follow up booked.

Is there a charge for missed appointments?

In order to ensure the office is running smoothly, and to continue to accommodate as many patients as possible, there will be a charge for missed appointments.  Please call the office to cancel or reschedule to avoid being charged.  If a follow up appointment is missed, prescriptions will not be refilled until the missed appointment is rebooked, and there will be a charge for the prescription refill.

Is there a charge for forms or letters?

In order to compensate Dr. Danby for her time and expertise, there will be a charge for letters and forms.  Fees are based on suggested OMA rates.

Does Dr. Danby recommend the COVID vaccine?

Dr. Danby strongly recommends the COVID-19 vaccine for you and your child.

If you would like to have your child vaccinated against COVID-19, you can book online through the Middlesex London Health unit at www.covidvaccinelm.ca/ to book at one of the mass vaccination clinics.  Currently, we are not offering COVID-19 vaccines in the office.

Does Dr. Danby recommend the flu shot?

Dr. Danby recommends yearly flu shots for all patients and family members over 6 months of age.

If this is the first year your child is getting a flu shot and they are under 8 years old, there are two doses required, at least one month apart.

What if Dr. Danby is not in the office?

If Dr. Danby is not in the office and your child needs to be seen urgently, please go to your nearest walk-in clinic or Pediatric Emergency Room. 

Is Dr. Danby accepting new patients?

Dr. Danby is currently closed to new referrals and to new primary care patients.  She continues to accept newborn siblings of current patients or referrals from midwives.  She is hoping to begin accepting other newborns soon, so please call the office to enquire if you are expecting.

Does Dr. Danby offer travel advice or immunizations?

Travel advice is not an OHIP-covered service, so Dr. Danby is not able to provide this.  Dr. Danby can only prescribe Twinrix Jr., if you wish for your child to be vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B.  For all other travel advice, and to receive recommended immunizations based on your location of travel, you must book an appointment at a private travel clinic.
